AP Computer Science Prep Courses At University of California, Irvine, are designed to help student get a head start in Advance Placement (AP) Computer Science. Those students taking AP Computer Science at high school have the opportunity to get college credit by passing the AP Computer Science exam. The AP Computer Science exam consists of 2 parts:
Part 1: 40 Multiple Choice Questions
Part 2: 4 Free Response Questions.
The Part 1, consists of 40 multiple choice question. The score is out of 40 points.
The Part 2, consists of 4 questions. Each are 9 points worth, total 36. It is also measured out of 40 points.
The scores on the free-response questions session are combined with the results of the computer-scored multiple-choice questions; the weighted raw scores are summed to give a composite score out of 80 point. The total score is then converted to following AP’s grade scale that ranges between 1 to 5:
